What are the benefits of the OxyGo portable oxygen concentrator (POC) compared to a standard oxygen concentrator?

Is the OxyGo continuous flow?
The OxyGo and OxyGo FIT units are both pulse dose only, so it is recommended that you contact your doctor to determine if one of these units is right for you.


Is there any standard maintenance involved with the OxyGo and OxyGo FIT units?
The only standard maintenance involved with the OxyGo & OxyGo FIT POC units is washing the reusable particle filters twice a week. These filters are machine-washable, making them easy to clean.

What are the flight requirements for OxyGo and OxyGo FIT?
OxyGo & OxyGo FIT units both meet the criteria for POC use on aircrafts and include proper labelling on the units for domestic and international air travel. However, the other requirement you must meet regards battery duration. The majority of airlines require that you have enough battery life to cover 150% of travel time. To be sure you comply, we recommend that you contact the airline you will be flying with to verify their specific flight requirements.

What is the weight difference between the OxyGo standard battery and double battery? OxyGo FIT?
The OxyGo weighs 4.8 lbs (2.2 kg) with the standard battery installed and 5.8 lbs. (2.6 kg) with the double battery installed.
The OxyGo FIT weighs 2.8 lbs (1.27 kg) with the standard battery installed and 3.29 lbs. (1.49 kg) with the double battery installed.

What is the typical product life span of OxyGo batteries? Sieve beds?
The typical life span of batteries and sieve beds are 1.5 years, depending on how much the machine is used. Luckily this machine is so smart that it will alert you when it is time to replace these items!

How can I charge my OxyGo battery?
An OxyGo battery can be charged two ways. First the battery can be charged inside of the POC unit when plugged into an outlet. Second, an OxyGo desktop battery charger can be used to charge the battery. These desktop chargers can be purchased here for the OxyGo & OxyGo FIT. (link to desktop battery charger pages)

Do I need a prescription to purchase an OxyGo or OxyGo FIT portable oxygen concentrator?
Yes, we will need to obtain a portable oxygen prescription with your setting on it before we can send the unit to you. Please view the instructions on the portable oxygen concentrator product page in order to understand how to send us your prescription.

Will my insurance be billed for an OxyGo or OxyGo FIT POC?
My Care Home Medical does not work with insurance when supplying a portable oxygen concentrator. Please talk with a retail representative about special pricing, financing, and free shipping!

Do I have to pay for the OxyGo portable oxygen concentrator all at once?
