The differences between a standard transfer board and a bariatric transfer board are the weight capacity and length of the board. A standard transfer board can aid in transferring a person up to 440 lbs. while a bariatric transfer board can aid in transferring a person up to 600 lbs. A bariatric transfer board features a longer board with a length up to 35” compared to a standard transfer board which features a board length up to 30”.
