How does a bariatric commode differ from a standard commode?

A standard commode and a bariatric commode differ in not only the weight capacity they can support, but also their structure. Besides at least a 600 lb. weight capacity, bariatric commodes feature an extra wide seat, heavy-duty construction, sturdy armrests and a larger toilet seat opening and commode bucket.
